[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Sejong University announced on the 1st that it ranked 11th domestically in the 2021 World University Rankings recently released by the American current affairs weekly US News & World Report.
US News, famous for its domestic university rankings in the United States, announced a comprehensive ranking up to 1500 for 1,678 universities across 86 countries worldwide this year. The evaluation indicators include a total of 13 categories such as global research reputation, regional research reputation, total citation index, and international collaborative research. The weight of each indicator is as follows: global and regional research reputation, number of top 10% cited papers/publications at 12.5%, research publications, citation-adjusted index, and proportion of top 10% cited papers/publications each at 10%, among others.
Sejong University ranked 3rd domestically and 291st globally in the field of Environmental Science, 7th domestically and 250th globally in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and 7th domestically and 278th globally in Computer Science according to the evaluation by academic disciplines.
