UK BBC Report... Passed Away at Age 90
[Asia Economy International Desk Reporter] Sean Connery, the veteran actor who played the original James Bond in the film series '007,' has passed away, the British BBC reported on the 31st (local time). Connery was born in 1930 and celebrated his 90th birthday on August 25.
Born in the UK, Connery played the first James Bond role in the 1962 production of the first 007 series film, 'Dr. No,' and starred in six films in the 007 series.
Besides the 007 series, Connery appeared in several works including 'Murder on the Orient Express' (1974), 'The Name of the Rose' (1986), 'The Untouchables' (1987), and 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' (1989), and officially retired in 2006.
