[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 31st at 1 PM, Oh Seung-rok, the district mayor, attended the 'Pet Culture Festival 2020 Enjoy with Pets in Nowon' held at Deungnamu Cultural Park in Junggye-dong.

This event was organized to improve awareness of animal welfare and to establish a healthy pet culture where humans and animals coexist, in response to the era of 10 million pets.

On the main stage and playground, activities such as adoption and abandoned dog birthday parties, Petiquette OX quizzes, and pet dog sports events were held. At 23 operation booths, various experience programs were offered, including free basic grooming, pet dog caricatures, walking classes, and making aroma deodorants.

District Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "I am pleased that the pet festival, now in its third year, is becoming more abundant each year," and added, "In this era of 10 million pets, we will create a Nowon where people and animals happily coexist together."
