Juventus Announces on Homepage: "No More Self-Quarantine Required"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Juventus football player Cristiano Ronaldo was declared fully recovered from COVID-19 on the 30th (local time).

Juventus, a Serie A club in Italian professional football, announced on their official website that "Ronaldo tested negative for COVID-19" and "he has recovered 19 days after infection and no longer needs to self-isolate."

Ronaldo was called up to the Portugal national team this month to participate in the UEFA Nations League but tested positive for COVID-19 on the 12th and entered quarantine. When a retest on the 13th also came back positive, he returned to Turin, Italy, and continued self-isolation.

Even after returning to Italy, he underwent two additional tests, both of which were positive, preventing him from rejoining his club. As an asymptomatic carrier, he shared updates of himself on social networking services (SNS) during this period.

Ronaldo will be able to participate in the Serie A Round 6 match against Spezia on the 1st of next month and the UEFA Champions League Group G third match against Ferencv?rosi (Hungary) scheduled for the 5th of next month.
