Lee Kyung-hoon 'Tied 25th, 6 Shots Behind'... Bae Sang-moon 'Cut Off'

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Lee Kyung-hoon (29, CJ Logistics, photo) shows a strong performance.

On the 31st (Korean time), at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda (par 71, 6,828 yards), during the second day of the PGA Tour Bermuda Championship (total prize money $4 million), he shot 1 under par to leap to a tie for 25th place (2 under par, 140 strokes). Ryan Armour and Wyndham Clark share the lead (8 under par, 134 strokes), Kramer Hickok is in 3rd place (7 under par, 135 strokes), and Doc Redman (all from the USA) are tied for 4th place (6 under par, 136 strokes). Some players were unable to complete their rounds due to sunset.

Starting from a tie for 64th place, 7 strokes behind, Lee Kyung-hoon recorded 4 birdies and 3 bogeys. In the front nine, he exchanged 2 birdies for 2 bogeys without reducing his score, but after a bogey on the first hole of the back nine (par 4), he added birdies on the 2nd and 5th holes to join the under-par group. His 'stingy putting' stood out with an average of 1.625 putts per hole. Although he is 6 strokes behind the leader, he is only 3 strokes behind the group tied for 6th place, putting him in a position to move up the leaderboard.

Clark shot 3 under par to dominate the top of the leaderboard. Luke Donald (England) is tied for 6th place (5 under par, 137 strokes). Peter Malnati (USA), who led the previous day, lost 3 strokes and dropped into this group. Defending champion Brandon Todd (USA) struggled with 4 over par, falling to a tie for 89th place (4 over par, 146 strokes). Bae Sang-moon (34) also collapsed with 1 birdie, 5 bogeys, and 1 double bogey, tying for 102nd place (6 over par, 148 strokes).
