Gurye-gun Hosts 'Jeollanam-do Community Security Council Capacity Building Conference'

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 30th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it held the ‘Jeollanam-do Community Social Security Council Capacity Building Conference’ at the ICA Hall of Gurye Natural Dream Park.

The conference, hosted by Jeollanam-do and Gurye-gun and organized by the Gurye-gun Community Social Security Council, was held under the slogan ‘Jeonnam Welfare Road Sharing Hope, We Will Go Together!’ to enhance the role of the council, which is the center of public-private cooperation, and to revitalize it through information exchange.

Marking its 7th year this year, the Jeonnam conference attracted great interest as only a minimal number of participants attended to prevent the spread of COVID-19, while 300 council members and officials simultaneously connected through an online live broadcast.

On the day of the event, there was a time for information exchange to realize the Jeonnam welfare community through keynote speeches, presentations of excellent council activity cases, and a public-private cooperation live quiz show.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “As vulnerable groups are becoming more difficult due to COVID-19, the role of the community social security council, a public-private cooperation organization, is important,” and added, “We will take the lead in improving residents’ welfare through the revitalization of the council.”
