[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Muan County Office Kendo Team participated in the 17th Autumn National Corporate Kendo Championship, winning the team event championship, 3rd place in the integrated individual event, and 1st and 2nd place in the men's 4th dan individual event.


According to Muan County on the 30th, the kendo competition was held in Cheongyang County, Chungnam Province, from the 26th to the 29th for four days, with 16 corporate kendo teams nationwide participating. The county office kendo team won the championship in the team event against Ulsan Metropolitan City Office in the final match.


In the integrated individual event, player Yoo Ha-neul took 3rd place, and in the men's 4th dan individual event where our county players advanced to the finals, player Lee Hu-seong won first place, and player Gong Dae-hyun took second place, demonstrating the strength of the nation's top kendo team.


County Governor Kim San said, "Despite the difficult environment caused by COVID-19, I comfort the players who endured tough training and Director Lee Gwang-cheol for his hard work, and send wholehearted support to the players."


Meanwhile, the Muan County Office Kendo Team was founded in March 2002 and consists of a total of 10 members, including 1 director, 1 coach, and 8 players. It has played a key role in raising the prestige of Muan County by consistently placing high in various national kendo competitions.
