[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 30th that it has selected 12 '2020 Open Daycare Centers' through the Childcare Policy Committee review.

Open Daycare Centers are operated in a way that is highly open in terms of the spatial structure where children live and program operation, and involve parents' regular participation.

The county received applications for Open Daycare Centers from the 5th to the 8th, and during the evaluation period, comprehensively assessed operational performance such as openness, participation, sustainability, and excellent programs from October last year to last month to select the centers.

Five reselected centers (Sohwa, Pureunsol, Dooly, Aisarang, Aireader) will be designated for two years, and seven newly selected centers (Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency, Youngjae, Dorim, Aisup, Pureunkkum, Haetsal, Tteuntunai) will be designated for one year.

Governor Kim San said, “We will continue to promote the project to select Open Daycare Centers where children are happy and parents can feel at ease, making Muan a good urban-rural complex city for raising children.”

Meanwhile, those selected as Open Daycare Centers will be provided incentives such as additional points when newly selecting or re-entrusting public-type and national/public daycare centers.
