Mokpo National University Celebrates 74th Anniversary with Colorful Ceremony

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National University (President Park Min-seo) announced that it held the 74th anniversary opening ceremony on the 30th at the Cheonggang Academia Hall on the first floor of the 70th Anniversary Memorial Hall, a day before the university's founding anniversary.

In his commemorative speech, President Park Min-seo said, "In the rapidly changing era, our university members have united their wisdom and capabilities to meet the demands for new changes and innovations, which has led to numerous recent achievements," adding, "I am proud of all members who, despite many difficulties, have done their best in their respective positions with one heart for the development of the university."

The 74th anniversary celebration was held with various events, including awards for 32 long-term employees and a staff quiz competition. Unlike previous years, this year’s quiz competition was newly held on school history and job duties, which inspired affection for the university and received enthusiastic responses from many members pursuing professionalism. The prizes for this event were prepared by key officials, adding more significance to the occasion.

President Park Min-seo emphasized, "Based on the university's growth achieved over 74 years since its founding, Mokpo National University will continue to strive to become a university where students succeed, faculty and staff are happy, and the university coexists with the local community."
