Toyota 840,000 Units, Honda 470,000 Units Hit Record High
Subaru Also Increases Production Compared to Same Month Last Year

According to the Yomiuri Shimbun on the 30th, Toyota Motor and Honda each announced that their global production volume last month reached record highs.
Toyota produced approximately 840,000 units last month, a 12% increase compared to the same month last year.
This was driven by strong sales of the luxury car Lexus and the sport utility vehicle (SUV) RAV4, mainly in China and North America.
Honda's production volume last month was about 470,000 units, a 10% increase compared to the same month last year.
Although its market share is low, Subaru also set a new record for September production volume.
On the other hand, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Daihatsu Motor still had lower production volumes in September compared to the same month last year. However, Yomiuri reported that the decline compared to the same month last year was smaller than in August this year.
