Rising Expectations for Incheon-daero Undergrounding in Southwest Seoul Metropolitan Area, 'Cheongna Prugio Rapiano' Gated Community House for Sale ‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano’ Complex Perspective Rendering

Incheon City has announced a detailed plan to underground the section of Incheon-daero from Dohwa IC to Seo-Incheon IC, formerly part of the Gyeongin Expressway, raising expectations for increased value in the southwestern metropolitan area.

According to the plan, the 10.45 km section from Incheon IC to Seo-Incheon IC will be converted into a general road, with the 6.75 km segment from Dohwa IC to Seo-Incheon IC constructed in two layers: upper and lower. The upper layer will feature an exclusive S-BRT lane, lifestyle roads, and park green spaces, while the underground will house a trunk urban expressway (4 lanes in both directions). This section is included in the congestion road improvement plan and will be implemented with half of the 756 billion KRW project cost supported.

Once the Incheon-daero underground project is completed, traffic congestion and accessibility in the area are expected to improve significantly. Additionally, the incorporation of natural elements into the eco-friendly road will enhance residential conditions.

Recently, there has been a push to extend the underground project section to Namcheongra IC. Namcheongra IC is the connection section for the Third Yeonryuk Bridge, scheduled to begin construction this year. Completion of the underground project along with this bridge is expected to create even greater synergy. The Third Yeonryuk Bridge aims for completion by 2025.

Changes in traffic conditions are also warming up the local housing market. Cheongna International City is attracting attention as a beneficiary of the Incheon-daero underground project and the Third Yeonryuk Bridge construction, further boosted by the extension of Subway Line 7. Incheon City anticipates that this line will allow access to Guro Gasan Digital Complex in about 40 minutes.

‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano,’ located in 105-145 Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City, is also smoothly selling units based on the advantage of expanded transportation networks. ‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano’ offers a total of 354 units of gated community houses in seven different types. Construction is handled by Daewoo Engineering & Construction.

Gated community houses are residential products that combine the advantages of apartments and houses, characterized by providing a spacious living environment similar to detached houses. Recently, with the spread of COVID-19, there has been increased demand for wider and more open living spaces, making these homes even more attractive.

‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano’ is close to Namcheongra IC and Seo-Incheon IC, which are expected to benefit from the Third Yeonryuk Bridge and Incheon-daero underground projects, enabling quick travel not only to southwestern Seoul but also to various parts of the metropolitan area.

Additionally, public transportation is expected to be convenient with the extension of Line 7 in Cheongna International City. The Line 7 extension is scheduled to open two years earlier than originally planned, and currently, the Airport Railroad Cheongna International City Station, BRT, and GRT are in operation.

Convenience facilities are abundant. Across from the complex lies Cheongna Lake Park, and in the center of the park, the tallest observation tower in Korea, Cheongna City Tower, is being constructed. Around the lake park, Homeplus, Lotte Mart, CGV, and Megabox are available. Additionally, the Starfield Cheongna complex shopping mall is planned. The complex is also located in a school district with public Cheongna Kindergarten and Haewon Elementary, Middle, and High Schools within walking distance.

‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano’ incorporates specialized designs by type. Depending on the type, ample service spaces such as private gardens, terraces, and rooftops are provided, allowing residents to enjoy a larger usable area compared to the exclusive area.

Moreover, Samsung Home IoT system will be applied for the first time in Rapiano in Korea, enabling control of various devices with simple voice commands. Samsung Air Monitor, capable of adjusting air quality, temperature, and humidity, will also be provided as standard.

Meanwhile, the model house for ‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano’ is located at 1-844 Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City, and a virtual model house is also operated. The virtual model house vividly presents key information and videos of ‘Cheongna Prugio Rapiano’ through VR.
