[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 29th at 2:30 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the 'Visiting Gangwon-do Traditional Market, Clean Gangwon-do Excellent Agricultural and Specialty Products One-Heart Market' held at Junggye Neighborhood Park.

This direct transaction market was organized to help Gangwon-do farmers whose consumption sharply declined due to COVID-19 and to provide residents with affordable and fresh local food. It operates until the 31st from 10 AM to 7 PM.

Thirty-four farms (companies) from Gangwon-do are participating, showcasing over 200 items including Korean beef, dried pollack, dried squid, deodeok (Codonopsis lanceolata), and red pepper powder.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “We hope many residents will participate in this direct transaction market,” and added, “We will continue to promote friendship between urban and rural areas through ongoing direct transaction markets.”
