[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Job Center at Mokpo National University announced on the 29th that it held the 2020 Jeollanam-do Youth Overseas Employment Support Project Launch Ceremony at the Mokpo University Plaza 60 Small Auditorium.
The 2020 Jeollanam-do Youth Overseas Employment Support Project Launch Ceremony brought together over 20 trainees along with Professor Choi Dong-oh, Director of the Mokpo National University Job Center, Lee Sang-jin, Director of the Jeollanam-do International Cooperation Office, representatives from consortium organizations Intrax Korea Co., Ltd. and ICN Group Co., Ltd., to pledge the success of the overseas employment support project.
Mokpo National University was finally selected as the operating institution for the '2020 Jeollanam-do Youth Overseas Employment Support Project' announced by Jeollanam-do, and will operate the recruitment-type internship (United States) program and the experiential internship (Malaysia) program.
The recruitment-type internship is a one-year employment program in the United States aligned with the major field of study, with domestic training conducted until December this year, and overseas employment placement starting from February next year.
The experiential internship is a four-month overseas field training program in Malaysia according to the desired job, with internships commencing from March next year. A total of 26 trainees were selected for this project, including 16 for the recruitment-type internship (United States) and 10 for the experiential internship (Malaysia), who are scheduled to depart next year.
Choi Dong-oh, Director of the Mokpo National University Job Center, stated, “We will spare no investment and effort to enhance the global capabilities of young people in the Jeonnam region who wish to advance overseas and to activate entry into promising and professional overseas occupations.”
