DA Technology Supplies High-Speed Laser Notching Equipment for Secondary Batteries... "First Order Achieved After Technology Development"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Secondary battery equipment company D.A. Technology has raised the possibility of a performance rebound by successfully securing its first order after developing high-speed laser notching equipment.

D.A. Technology announced on the 29th that it will supply high-speed laser notching equipment to a domestic global battery company.

The equipment being supplied this time is a product that D.A. Technology successfully developed in August. At that time, D.A. Technology converted the manufacturing method of notching, a core process in secondary battery production, from molds to lasers. The high-speed laser notching equipment can produce at speeds of up to 1200mm/sec, increasing productivity by about 1.5 times compared to existing mold equipment.

In particular, this contract is significant as it is the first order since the development of the high-speed laser notching equipment. According to the company, if the performance of the high-speed laser notching equipment is verified by the battery company, the supply volume is expected to increase sharply starting next year.

A D.A. Technology official said, "As global demand for secondary batteries increases, the notching method will shift from the existing mold method to the laser method, which has superior productivity," adding, "We have already verified the technical superiority such as productivity improvement through our own tests, and demand is expected to increase sharply from next year."

Meanwhile, D.A. Technology has completed a stock consolidation and will resume stock trading from the 30th. The company decided to consolidate the par value from the existing 500 won to 2,500 won to reduce the excessive number of circulating shares in order to enhance shareholder value and improve financial structure.
