LG Hausys to Assist in Flood-Damaged Area Recovery

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] LG Hausys has stepped up to support the recovery of flood-affected areas damaged by the heavy rains in August by providing materials.

On the 29th, LG Hausys held a donation ceremony for flood-affected areas at the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association in Mapo-gu, Seoul, attended by Park Gwi-bong, Executive Director of LG Hausys Decorative Materials Division, and Kim Jeong-hee, Secretary General of the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.

LG Hausys plans to supply materials such as flooring and wallpaper to households flooded in the severely affected areas of Jeonnam and Jeonbuk to support the restoration of homes for flood victims.

In particular, as recovery work is still ongoing even two months after the flood, LG Hausys intends to closely cooperate with the National Disaster Relief Association and local governments to ensure that the necessary materials are delivered as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, LG Hausys also provided flooring and wallpaper during the damage caused by Typhoon Kong-rey in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk, in 2018, and actively carries out social contribution activities such as delivering donations to help neighbors, sharing kimchi for kimjang, and delivering briquettes in the communities where its business sites are located.

Park Gwi-bong, Executive Director of LG Hausys Decorative Materials Division, said, "We hope to offer some comfort and help to flood victims so they can quickly return to their daily lives and regain stability," adding, "We will continue social contribution activities that utilize our business capabilities to assist communities facing difficulties."
