Changwon City Wins 'Grand Prize' at Public-Private Cooperation Best Practice Sharing Conference

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 29th that it won the grand prize in the finals of the '2nd Gyeongsangnam-do Public-Private Cooperation Best Practice Sharing Contest' held at the Changwon Convention Center on the 28th with the project 'Our Neighborhood Hope Energy Superman.'

This contest, held annually for Gyeongnam Province, cities and counties, institutions, and organizations, received a total of 49 excellent cases, and 9 teams that passed the document screening advanced to the finals. The awardees were decided through evaluations by the judging panel and audience evaluation group.

The 'Our Neighborhood Hope Energy Superman' project is a program that, in the reality where nuclear families and busy daily lives have led to indifference and disconnection among neighbors, collaborates with local stores and others familiar with local conditions and frequently in contact with residents to create a dense daily safety net against crisis households and solitary deaths.

A Changwon City official emphasized, "Taking this grand prize as an opportunity, we will reorganize the existing 1,175 locations and discover additional Supermen to build a dense 'Changwon-type social safety net' without any blind spots, thereby overcoming the limitations of public policy."
