Gokseong-gun Future Education Foundation Operates Village Educational Resource Exploration Program

The First Step Toward Establishing the Gokseong Educational Ecosystem

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Gokseong County Future Education Foundation (Chairman Yoo Geunki) announced on the 29th that it operated a village educational resource exploration program twice on the 22nd and 27th for local kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school teachers.

The program was conducted with theory and practical training at the Rose Cacao Experience Center located in the Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village. Participants learned about the flow of world history through chocolate culture and also made chocolate themselves using various ingredients.

The village educational resource exploration program is operated to help educators connect scattered village resources in the region with children's curriculum and experiential activities.

It also has the effect of helping children properly understand the area where they live. Going forward, Gokseong County plans to continue operating the program to ultimately create a differentiated educational ecosystem unique to Gokseong, where learning and life coincide.

An official from the foundation said, “Through the program, we will discover village resources with educational value and integrate them with various school activities such as career and job experiences to organically respond to the changing educational environment and create an educational ecosystem.”
