Actress Kim Hee-sun revealed that she recreated her style from the 1999 drama 'Tomato' in 'Alice.'
Kim Hee-sun conducted an online interview on the 27th after the conclusion of the SBS drama 'Alice.' In the drama, she played two characters, Sun-young and Tae-i, portraying their 20s, 30s, and 40s.
Among these, her appearance in her 20s reminded many viewers of her role in the hit drama 'Tomato.' Regarding this, Kim Hee-sun said, "I used props from 'Tomato.' I wore a hairband and a scrunchie on my wrist, which those who watched 'Tomato' might recognize. I intentionally added these points to evoke 'Tomato.'"
Although viewers did not find it awkward, Kim Hee-sun said, "It's definitely hard to go back to being in your 20s. My voice has changed. Back then, it was clear and crisp, but now it's a bit husky. No matter how much I wore the hairband and scrunchie, it was hard to return to my 20s 'Tomato' self."
When portraying 30-year-old Yoon Tae-i, physics terminology was a barrier. Kim Hee-sun joked, "I played a genius physicist role that I couldn't master no matter what. No matter how much I studied the physics terms, it just didn't work. I had to say and memorize them repeatedly until they stuck. Next time, I won't play such a smart professor. It's too hard."
