Five Local Processing Companies Open Export Opportunities for Kimchi and Jeotgal Agricultural Products

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Haman County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 29th that it held an 'Online U.S. Export Consultation Meeting' together with the Gyeongnam Office in Los Angeles, USA.
This meeting was organized to support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in overcoming difficulties in overseas marketing due to the economic downturn caused by COVID-19 and to help them develop export channels.
A total of 12 companies participated, including 5 local agricultural food processing companies and 7 overseas buyers, conducting video export consultations by company. The agricultural food processing companies participating in the consultation meeting were Foodreams Co., Ltd., Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation Co., Ltd., CNF Co., Ltd., Touri Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, and SL Food Co., Ltd.
These companies were selected based on the matching results after providing product catalogs to overseas buyers only for companies that applied last month with various items such as health functional foods, kimchi varieties, salted seafood, and soybean paste.
Jo Geun-je, the mayor of Haman County, stated, "As the global spread of COVID-19 continues, local agricultural food processing companies facing difficulties entering overseas markets will be actively supported so that this online export consultation meeting can serve as an opportunity to expand exports."
