[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] At the 2020 Q3 earnings conference call held by Samsung Electronics on the 29th, Lee Jong-min, Executive Director of the Wireless Business Division, spoke about future plans related to the network business, stating, "Based on the Verizon contract, we will expand market share domestically and internationally and continuously pursue additional business opportunities," adding, "We will actively promote the 5G equipment business in Japan, Europe, India, and other regions to strengthen our global business foundation."

He continued, "We will expand the supply of core 5G equipment with differentiated technology compared to competitors, and strengthen technology differentiation and a stable supply system by continuously investing in in-house R&D and enhancing cooperation with partner companies that possess advanced technologies."
