The Supreme Court's 3rd Division (Presiding Justice Kim Jae-hyung) upheld the original sentence on the 29th, sentencing An Indeuk, who was charged with murder and arson of an inhabited building, to life imprisonment.
An is accused of setting fire to his apartment in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, on April 17 last year, killing 5 people and injuring 17 others by wielding a weapon against residents evacuating.
