KT M Mobile Launches 'Unlimited Safe Plan'

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT M Mobile has launched four types of low-cost unlimited plans called ‘Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim’ with no additional communication charges.

According to KT on the 29th, ‘Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim’ is a plan priced between 10,000 and 20,000 KRW per month that offers unlimited voice calls and texts, and allows continued use at 400Kbps speed after the basic data allowance is exhausted. The 400Kbps speed supports basic internet services such as messenger use and web surfing. The plans are divided into four types based on the monthly basic data provided: ▲Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim+ (11,400 KRW/month) ▲Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim 1.5GB+ (13,500 KRW/month) ▲Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim 2.5GB+ (15,900 KRW/month) ▲Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim 4.5GB+ (21,900 KRW/month). All four plans offer up to 20,000 KRW discount on communication fees depending on the previous month’s spending when using affiliated credit cards.

In particular, ‘Moduda Mamkkeot Anshim+’ has no monthly basic data but is the lowest-priced among the fully unlimited plans owned by the company. It is expected to be suitable for students who mainly use basic internet services and elderly people who worry about additional charges due to unintended operations. Jeon Seung-bae, Head of Business Operations at KT M Mobile, said, “As the age range of MVNO subscribers has diversified recently, the ability to design segmented plans considering customer characteristics such as age, gender, occupation, and usage patterns is becoming more important. KT M Mobile will continue to improve customer satisfaction and reduce household communication costs through launching and revising plans based on customer demands.”

Meanwhile, KT M Mobile has revamped its unlimited voice and data plan ‘Moduda Mamkkeot’ this year to support practical services for consumers, and currently offers a total of nine plans with data speed limits of ▲400Kbps ▲1Mbps ▲3Mbps ▲5Mbps.
