Inspection of Solar City Solar Power Plant Complex and Garden of the Sun Project Sites

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam County Council (Chairman Kim Byung-deok) visited the site of the Sanim-myeon Tourism and Leisure-type Enterprise City (Guseong District) development project on the 28th to conduct on-site legislative activities by inspecting major project sites.

According to Haenam County Council on the 29th, the inspection began with a briefing from the project implementer, Seonamhaean Enterprise City Development, at the on-site office, followed by visits to major project sites including the solar power generation complex, Garden of the Sun, RE100 exclusive complex, pilot housing complex, and Sani Garden to check the progress of the projects.

At the solar power generation complex control room, they checked the daily power generation status, examined how local residents participate in the project and how profits are distributed, and requested continuous monitoring of the impact of the solar power facilities on the surrounding climate, with the results to be disclosed to the residents.

After touring the pilot housing complex and Sani Garden sites, they urged thorough measures to minimize inconvenience to residents caused by construction vehicles and to prevent safety accidents, as the project sites are adjacent to local roads used by residents.

Chairman Kim Byung-deok said, “Although there are many difficult conditions, I hope that the vision pursued by the Solar City enterprise will be achieved quickly to revitalize the local economy, become a landmark of Haenam County, and promote the development of the tourism industry.”

The Solar City enterprise is a smart blue city project planned on a 6.32 million pyeong site in the Guseong-ri area of Sanim-myeon, aiming to attract a planned population of 35,000. It is a future new city construction project and one of the core projects of the Blue Economy promoted by Jeollanam-do. Last July, a Blue Economy vision declaration ceremony for Jeollanam-do was held with the attendance of President Moon Jae-in.
