[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Mart will hold the ‘Lotte Mart Banban Day’ event for two days on October 31 and November 1 as part of the ‘Korea Sale Festa’.
This event is prepared by Lotte Mart to overcome the consumption slump caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to support customers' consumption life during the Korea Sale Festa period. Seasonal fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables, prepared foods, processed goods, and daily necessities will be offered at up to half price and 1+1 deals.
First, popular fresh foods have been prepared. From October 29 to November 4, a Korean beef event jointly planned with the National Hanwoo Association and the Hanwoo Self-Governing Fund Management Committee will be held, offering Korean beef at up to 50% discount. Fruits are also available, with ‘Guatemala·Colombia Bananas’ offered as 1+1 for 3,980 KRW, and ‘Buyu Persimmon B+’ sold at 5,900 KRW, a 50% discount from the regular price for L.POINT members.
Processed foods and daily necessities are also prepared, with ‘Hantong Gadeuk Chicken’ offered to L.POINT members at 6,980 KRW, a 3,000 KRW discount from the regular price, and ‘All Chocolate Products’, ‘15 Types of Ssamjang’, ‘All Kitchen Detergents’, and ‘11 Types of Oral-B Toothbrushes’ offered as 1+1 deals.
A one-day-only event is also planned, offering various fresh foods, processed foods, and daily necessities at up to 50% discount. On October 31, ‘Jeju GAP Tangerines’ will be sold to L.POINT members at 6,900 KRW, a 50% discount, and ‘Happy Saengsaeng Eggs’ can be purchased for 2,980 KRW, a 2,800 KRW discount from the regular price when L.POINT members pay with the event card.
On November 1, ‘Shine Muscat’ will be sold to L.POINT members at 12,900 KRW, a 50% discount from the regular price; ‘Huggies Diapers’ as 1+1; ‘Biscuits’ as 2+1; and the ‘Happycall Gourmet Induction Frying Pan Series’ will be sold to L.POINT members at prices ranging from 12,950 KRW to 20,250 KRW, a 50% discount.
Additionally, the ‘Switch Neon Blue/Neon Red·Animal Crossing Edition’ will be offered at 360,000 KRW each, and popular toys will be sold at up to 50% discount.
Lee Sangjin, head of marketing at Lotte Mart, said, “We planned popular fresh food and daily necessities events to celebrate the 2020 Korea Sale Festa,” adding, “We expect this event to help reduce the burden on customers’ shopping baskets.”
