Seocho-gu 'Untact Screening Clinic' Opens Export Path to Saudi Arabia?

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] It has been one month since Seocho-gu (Mayor Jo Eun-hee) opened the nation's first untact screening clinic on the 14th of last month, and interest remains high.

Requests for benchmarking materials, inquiries, and visits from government agencies and local governments have continued. There is also interest from the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, and Europe, with export negotiations underway with the company responsible for constructing the screening clinic.

At the Seocho-gu untact screening clinic, the entire process from epidemiological investigation to specimen collection is conducted through a 'contactless walk-through,' and conversations with visitors are held via a 'speakerphone' separated by glass.

Additionally, an 'automatic negative pressure control system,' 'air purification device,' and 'contactless automatic doors' have been installed to block infection through droplet transmission and contact.

Furthermore, the six specimen rooms are equipped with 'glove walls,' allowing specimen collection in glass-separated spaces, and an 'automatic disinfection system' is installed so that after a patient leaves, pressing a switch automatically disinfects the area, enabling safe and rapid testing of up to 500 people per day.

Moreover, the district is taking a step further by developing a pre-reservation system for the screening clinic and an epidemiological investigation app to fully automate the infectious disease response process.

Through this, both medical staff and visitors can receive fast medical care in a comfortable environment without the risk of infection.

A visitor, Mr. A, who came to the Seocho-gu screening clinic with his child, said, "I was worried that I might get infected going to screening clinics with poor facilities, but this place is better equipped than any university hospital, and I can get tested without overlapping with other patients, so I feel safe even coming with my child. I hope such untact screening clinics are installed in all public health centers."

Mayor Jo Eun-hee stated, "When we first prepared the untact screening clinic, some said it was excessive preparation as COVID-19 would soon subside, but we prepared thoroughly to protect residents' safety until the end of the pandemic," adding, "Since COVID-19 resurgence can happen anytime, we will never let our guard down and always prepare for crises."
