[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation (Head: Moon Junghoon) delivered a donation of 24 million won to Namwon City on the 28th.
The donation delivered that day was raised through a three-month broadcast and online fundraising campaign after the heartbreaking story of a 10-year-old child caring for a father suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease was featured on KBS 1TV’s program ‘Donghaeng’ (Companion).
The donation is intended to be used for medical expenses, living expenses, housing environment improvement costs, clothing expenses, and more.
Meanwhile, the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation has been introducing neighbors who do not lose hope despite difficult circumstances through KBS’s human documentary program ‘Donghaeng,’ and has been supporting them with living stabilization funds, medical expenses, housing stabilization funds, etc., so that they can be healed and rehabilitated from illness and poverty.
Jo Hwanik, Director of the Resident Welfare Division, said, “We sincerely thank the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation for their support for low-income children in Namwon City, and ask for continued interest and support for the underprivileged in the local community.”
