On the 27th, Kim Ki-jung's younger brother, Mr. A, announced the news of the deceased's passing through Kim Ki-jung's Instagram.

Mr. A added, "Please kindly understand that due to the suddenness of the situation, we are unable to contact everyone individually."

Earlier, on the 8th, Kim Ki-jung had announced his hospitalization. On that day, he posted on Instagram, "I have absurdly contracted a bacterial infection from cupping therapy at a Korean medicine clinic," and added, "I am currently hospitalized and receiving treatment after surgery."

Kim Ki-jung wrote, "On September 30th, I noticed swelling on my shoulder and armpit, so I went to a local Korean medicine clinic for cupping therapy," and continued, "I had two cupping sessions, during which a large hole was made at the wound site, and a lot of pus oozed out."

He further stated, "Through the hole caused by the cupping therapy, bacteria entered my entire body."

He went on, "On October 3rd, the pain was so severe that I went straight to the emergency room," and added, "my liver electrolyte function was damaged. Fortunately, the levels have decreased, and now I am focusing on recovering from the surgery and regaining my strength. The surgery went well, and I plan to take some time off to rest and recover."

He also said, "Although I did not disclose the name of the Korean medicine clinic, I plan to take legal action against them," and added, "If anyone can assist in this matter, please contact me."

After posting this message, Kim Ki-jung uploaded two photos of himself on Instagram before ultimately passing away. It was 24 days after his hospitalization.
