Unused Photo and Exhibition Spaces Transformed into Media Exhibition Areas with Four Themed Zones
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] A new media exhibition space has been created at the Cheongwadae set within Hapcheon Video Theme Park in Gyeongnam.
Hapcheon County is opening the "Immersive Media Art Experience Center," a media exhibition space on the first floor of the Cheongwadae set, on the 31st.
The "Immersive Media Art Experience Center" transforms the previously unused space on the first floor of the Cheongwadae set, which was used as a photo area and exhibition hall, into a media exhibition space featuring four themes.
The first space, Baegak Room, offers a 7-minute video featuring particle animations of animals related to mythical kings roaming the vast universe, along with ink wash paintings themed on Korea’s past, present, and future.
In the second space, the Connecting Corridor, visitors can experience an LED gate and interactive exhibits.
The third space, Inwang Room, themed "I Become the Artwork," allows visitors to appear as part of the artwork in 12 different painting styles and enjoy a sensory media facade show utilizing lines, surfaces, textures, and space.
The fourth space, Chungmu Room, vividly presents media frames where historical kings and presidents come to life, along with the Ilwol Obongdo (Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks) symbolizing royal authority, and genre paintings depicting scholars’ aspirations, all displayed within a media album.
Moon Jun-hee, the mayor of Hapcheon County, said, "We have opened the Immersive Media Art Experience Center to add new attractions and experiences to the Cheongwadae set, which continues to attract steady visitor traffic," adding, "It will help satisfy visitors’ five senses."
