Changwon, the 'Hydrogen Special City,' to Hold the 3rd 'Hydrogen Day' Ceremony on November 1

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City, Gyeongnam, will hold the '3rd Hydrogen Day' commemorative ceremony on November 1 to foster the hydrogen industry and support the government's Green New Deal policy.

Changwon City declared itself as the 'Special Hydrogen Industry City Changwon' on November 1, 2018, announcing its strong commitment to fostering the hydrogen industry.

Since the designation of 'Hydrogen Day,' Changwon City has actively promoted various hydrogen-related policies, distributing the largest number of hydrogen vehicles among basic local governments, operating the nation's first official hydrogen city bus routes, and being selected for numerous government hydrogen-related public projects such as the establishment of urban package-type charging stations.

The commemorative ceremony will include ▲a corporate meeting to revitalize the hydrogen vehicle parts industry and operation of a hydrogen vehicle promotion booth ▲contract signing and investment commitment for the main equipment order of the Changwon hydrogen liquefaction project ▲H2WORLD Conference 2020 ▲H2WORLD hydrogen business consultation ▲and a business agreement for the establishment of smart hydrogen buses.

Mayor Heo Seong-mu of Changwon said, "Since the declaration of 'Special Hydrogen Industry City Changwon,' we have been working hard to foster the hydrogen industry as a future growth engine," adding, "Taking the 3rd Hydrogen Day-related events as an opportunity, we will firmly establish Changwon City's leading image in the hydrogen industry and promptly promote various hydrogen projects so that citizens can quickly experience economic effects such as job creation."
