Until the End of November... 178 Agricultural Wells and 69 Pumping Stations
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 28th that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of agricultural wells and pumping station facilities to prepare for severe drought caused by abnormal weather.
Uljin-gun will carry out inspection and maintenance of the operating status and electrical facilities of 178 agricultural wells and 69 pumping stations within the jurisdiction until the end of November. In addition, water quality tests will be conducted in accordance with relevant laws to manage the groundwater quality of agricultural wells.
County Governor Jeon Chan-geol emphasized, "We will maintain agricultural water management facilities after the autumn harvest to prepare for the recurring water shortage every year," adding, "We will improve the agricultural foundation by supplying agricultural water stably and timely."
