[2020 Women Index] Coway Creates Employment Opportunities for Career-Interrupted Women Beyond Korea to Overseas At the 5th Asia Women Index Awards Ceremony, Coway received the Asia Economy CEO Award in the Workforce Composition category.


[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Coway's 'Codi organization' of 13,500 members is 90% female. By actively utilizing career-interrupted women and married women workforce, it contributes to creating social jobs for women.


Before 1998, there was no occupation like Codi. Coway, which first introduced rental marketing and pre-service, established the Codi, a service expert organization. At its launch, there were only about 80 Codis, but in 20 years, the number increased about 160 times. Codis are active from their 20s to 60s, with an average age of 45.4 years.


The female employment sector through Codi is achieving results not only domestically but also overseas. Since 2007, rental marketing started in Malaysia, creating about 10,000 women's jobs.


To strengthen Codi capabilities, since 2010, Coway has operated the 'Coway-Ewha Academy' in partnership with Ewha Womans University. Through systematic education programs such as leadership and service mindset, it supports growth as service experts.


Due to the nature of Codi's work, commuting time and schedule management are flexible. One of the main tasks of Codi is management service, and since they can manage customer visit schedules themselves, they can work at their preferred times. Male
