Public School Special Recruitment for Disabled 1.06 to 1, Private School 7.36 to 1

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced the final application results for the 2021 academic year public and private secondary teacher recruitment exam on the Office of Education's website on the 28th.

In the public general category by subject, 1,508 applicants applied for 196 positions, recording an average competition rate of 7.69 to 1 per subject. For the disabled quota recruitment, 19 applicants applied for 18 positions. The overall average competition rate for public recruitment including the disabled quota (7.14 to 1) was slightly lower than last year's (8.78 to 1).

In the private sector, 493 applicants applied for 67 positions, showing a competition rate of 7.36 to 1, which is somewhat higher than the previous year's 6.46 to 1.

The first stage of this recruitment exam will be held nationwide on the 21st of next month. The second stage exam for those who pass the first stage will proceed with practical evaluations on January 20, 2021, lesson demonstrations on the 26th, and in-depth interviews on teaching aptitude on the 27th of the same month.
