Hwasun-gun Extends Application Period for 'Emergency Livelihood Support Fund for Vulnerable Households'

Hwasun-gun Extends Application Period for 'Emergency Livelihood Support Fund for Vulnerable Households'

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 28th that it will relax the application criteria and extend the application period for the ‘Emergency Livelihood Support Fund for Vulnerable Households,’ which supports households whose labor or business income has decreased due to COVID-19.

The application period has been extended by one week from the original deadline of the 30th to the 6th of next month.

The application criteria (crisis reasons) have been relaxed to include households with less than a 25% decrease in income, previously limited to those with a 25% or more decrease.

Those whose income has decreased due to a change from business owner to labor income earner, or from labor income earner to business owner, are also eligible to apply.

The application documents have been simplified, and in addition to official data such as from the National Tax Service, applicants can apply without a separate income reduction report if objective data such as bank transaction details (income verification) can be confirmed.

Daily workers and small self-employed individuals who cannot objectively prove income reduction can also apply with a self-declaration of income reduction.

If the crisis reason is due to unemployment, business closure, or suspension, and the household income (below 75% of the median income standard) and property criteria (below 300 million KRW) are met, support can be received.

However, recipients of basic livelihood benefits, emergency welfare livelihood benefits, and other COVID-19 emergency support program beneficiaries are excluded.
