Seoul Reports 25 New Cases and 1 Death Yesterday... Additional Small-Scale Cluster Infections Occur

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Yesterday, 25 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Seoul. There was also one elderly death.

As of midnight on the 28th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul increased by 25 from the previous day, reaching 5,876.

The infection routes of the new confirmed cases include 6 members from a golf gathering in Dongmun, Yongin City (cumulative 20), 4 employees from a clothing company in Yongsan-gu (cumulative 6), and 1 person from a birthday party gathering (cumulative 5), confirming new cluster infection cases.

Additionally, there were 2 imported cases from overseas, 2 cases who had contact with confirmed patients from other cities or provinces, 5 cases from other infection routes, and 4 cases with infection routes under investigation.

In Seoul, a patient in their 70s who was diagnosed on September 30 and was undergoing isolation treatment passed away on the 26th, increasing the total number of deaths to 77.

So far, 5,434 patients have been declared recovered and discharged, while 365 are currently receiving isolation treatment.
