"A Person Who Will Contribute to Film Festival Development with Experience Gained in Various Fields"
The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) recently announced on the 28th that it has appointed Eom Yong-hoon, CEO of Samgeori Pictures, as its Secretary General. The Executive Committee stated that he was appointed because he is "a figure who will contribute to the development of the festival by leveraging his extensive experience in various fields such as production, investment, distribution, and management." Secretary General Eom has produced more than twenty films, including Do Ga-ni (Silenced), Love Fiction, and How to Steal a Dog. He entered the film industry as Executive Director of LJ Film and has held positions such as Executive Director of Prime Entertainment, Vice President of NOA Entertainment (Fantagio), and CEO of Little Big Pictures. He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Seoul Film Industry Promotion Committee, Vice President of the Korean Film Producers Association, a member of the Fair Environment Creation Special Committee of the Korean Film Council, and a member of the Gyeonggi Film Commission. Currently, he serves as a member of the Chuncheon Film Industry Committee and as a reviewer for promotional materials, videos, and publications at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. He stated, "I will work together with the staff to fulfill my responsibilities for the successful hosting of next year's festival."
