[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Actor Park Bo-gum is drawing attention by participating in his first official event since enlisting in the Navy.
On the afternoon of the 27th, Park Bo-gum hosted the '2020 Republic of Korea Navy Memorial Concert' held at the Seogwipo Arts Center in Jeju.
Wearing his Navy uniform on stage that day, Park Bo-gum said, "I enlisted last August and completed six weeks of training. This is my first official event here in Jeju," adding, "Today's performance is being live-streamed on the Navy's YouTube channel. Please stay with us until the end."
Park Bo-gum also promoted the dramas and movies he stars in.

Park Bo-gum said, "Today is the final episode of 'Record of Youth,'" and asked, "After today's event, I would appreciate it if you watch the last episode of 'Record of Youth.'" He urged viewers to watch the drama he is appearing in.
He continued, "Please also show a lot of interest in the movie 'Seobok,' which is scheduled to be released this December," promoting the film 'Seobok' in which he stars.
Earlier that morning, Park Bo-gum also sent greetings via video at the production presentation of the movie 'Seobok.'
Through a video left before his enlistment, he said, "'Seobok' actor Park Bo-gum here, playing the role of the cloned human Seobok. I left this video because I am sorry I cannot be with you today. I sincerely thank director Lee Yong-ju, who gave me the character Seobok and led the set well; Gong Yoo, from whom I learned a lot on set; Jo Woo-jin, who was considerate; and all the staff who worked hard behind the scenes. I was happy to be part of it. Please give us lots of interest and warm love."
Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum enlisted as a Navy cultural promotion soldier on August 31. He will complete his 20-month service and be discharged at the end of April 2022.
