BNK Financial Group Selected as an Excellent Governance Company for Two Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Financial Group announced on the 27th that it was selected for the second consecutive year as an ‘Excellent Governance Company’ at the ‘2020 ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Excellent Companies’ awards ceremony hosted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service.

BNK Financial Group received the highest grade of A+ among financial companies and was selected as an ‘Excellent Governance Company,’ awarded to the top three financial companies, recognizing that it has established a model governance system of the highest standard in Korea.

This year, the group has designated ESG management as a core task and is currently establishing and promoting a group-wide ESG management strategy to make this the inaugural year of ESG management implementation.

Kim Ji-wan, Chairman of BNK Financial Group, stated, “We will strive to enhance corporate value based on stable and transparent governance and strengthen communication with shareholders and other stakeholders.” He emphasized, “As the importance of ESG management has recently been greatly highlighted, we will expand ESG management that meets global standards throughout the group to further strengthen sustainable management activities.”
