Condolence Visit on the Third Day of the Funeral, the 27th

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NCSoft, visited the funeral hall at Samsung Medical Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee's wake was held, at around 3:15 p.m. on the 27th to pay his respects.
Speaking to reporters that day, CEO Kim said, "Everyone knows the role Samsung played in bringing South Korea to where it is today," and added, "The deceased was at the center of that." He continued, "Although you may not be able to hear this now, I want to say that we are who we are today because of him."
Regarding his connection with the deceased, CEO Kim said, "I do not have a direct connection, but I am very close with his children like friends, so I welcomed them with a parental feeling," and added, "I briefly greeted and offered my condolences to the bereaved family."
Meanwhile, on the third day of the funeral on the 27th, condolences continued to pour in at the wake of Chairman Lee, who passed away on the morning of the 25th. The funeral is being held as a private family ceremony over four days, with the cremation scheduled for the 28th.
