Promotion and Sales of Agricultural Products on Gangsonong-Operated Shopping Mall and Gangsonong Daejeon Blog
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced that this year’s Small but Strong Farmers Expo will be held online from the 29th to the 31st through an online platform hosted by the Rural Development Administration, Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services, and city-county centers.
The Small but Strong Farmers Expo is an event where small but strong farmers promote their capabilities and excellent agricultural products to consumers through online channels such as the opening ceremony, product promotion, sales, buyer consultations, experience events, and competitions. Previously held offline, this year’s event will be conducted online due to COVID-19.
Maesil Extract from Haenuri Farm, a regionally specialized excellent product from Small but Strong Farmers with established e-commerce, has been selected and will be promoted on YouTube TV, Naver TV, and Jeonnam Agricultural Products YouTube TV.
To provide opportunities for distribution activation in the untact era, about 20 Small but Strong Farmers, including those producing freshwater clam soup, herbal tea, wild pear tea, maesil extract, bracken, seaweed chips, eco-friendly rice, and Alstroemeria, will participate in the Small but Strong Farmers operated shopping mall and the Gwangyang Small but Strong Farmers Expo blog to promote and sell various agricultural products online.
Heo Nam-il, Director of the Technology Extension Division, said, “We plan to actively support the Small but Strong Farmers Expo to strengthen the competitiveness of Small but Strong Farmers and facilitate communication between farmers and consumers,” adding, “We hope many people will take great interest in our city’s Small but Strong Farmers’ agricultural products and participate in the online Small but Strong Farmers Expo.”
