Hurim Robot Develops 'Smart Quarantine Care Solution' Reflecting COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Hurim Robot announced on the 27th that it has successfully developed a ‘Smart Quarantine Care Solution’ that perfectly reflects the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.

Hurim Robot is launching a ‘Smart Electronic Entry Quarantine Solution’ capable of three types of quarantine with a single device. The Smart Electronic Entry Quarantine Solution will be unveiled at the ‘2020 International Motion Control Industry Exhibition’ held at COEX in Seoul for four days starting today.

The newly launched smart quarantine solution is a product that can simultaneously check ▲mask-wearing status ▲body temperature measurement ▲and manage electronic entry logs using public QR codes. This reflects the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines presented by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which recently issued guidelines focusing on mask-wearing, use of thermometers, and electronic entry log usage.

Hurim Robot’s quarantine solution applies artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect cases where masks are not worn properly, such as wearing a mask covering only the mouth or hanging the mask on the chin.

In a situation where Chinese thermometers and thermal imaging temperature measurement devices without medical device certification have become problematic, a highly complete thermometer certified by domestic medical device standards has been applied. The thermometer’s measurement range is 22~42℃ with a maximum error margin within 0.3℃, and within the main temperature measurement range of 36~39℃, the error margin is within 0.2℃, demonstrating excellent performance.

A Hurim Robot official said, “Hurim Robot’s solution is a product capable of perfect non-face-to-face unmanned operation and fully complies with the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s quarantine policies,” adding, “It is not simply a collection of quarantine processes in one place but is based on an all-in-one, one-stop method that enables integrated operation, allowing for a more thorough quarantine system.”
