[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] As the time spent at home has increased due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) situation, interest in community facilities within apartment complexes is rising.
Community facilities such as saunas, indoor golf practice ranges, fitness centers, and indoor swimming pools were once considered merely convenient amenities, but with stricter restrictions on outdoor activities involving large groups due to COVID-19, they have now become essential facilities.
In fact, in the Gangnam area of Seoul, luxurious community facilities are attracting attention. In Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, 'Raemian Prestige' and 'Acro River Park' are gaining popularity as community facilities that combine practicality and luxury, featuring sky lounges and golf practice ranges.
Accordingly, there is a growing interest in such community facilities not only in the metropolitan area but also in local housing sales.
This month, Ssangyong Construction is introducing several specialized facilities in 'Ssangyong The Platinum Wando,' which is being sold on the site of the former Wando Tourist Hotel in Wando, Jeollanam-do.
This complex is a rare 37-story high-rise in Wando, featuring specialized facilities that take advantage of the high-floor ocean view. On the 32nd floor, a sky bridge, a symbol of luxury apartments, will be installed, and various facilities including a fitness center will also be created.
It consists of two buildings from basement level 2 to the 37th floor, with a total of 192 units ranging from 80 to 181㎡ in exclusive area, and is located in the center of Wando, providing abundant residential infrastructure. Wando Public Bus Terminal is a 5-minute drive away, and the Gwangju-Wando Expressway is scheduled to open in 2024.
Seohae General Construction plans to apply specialized designs such as a sky bridge and top-floor penthouses to preserve the permanent view of the Namhan River in 'Yeoju Seohae Sky Palace,' which will be sold this month in the area including 591-10 Cheonsong-dong, Yeoju-si, and four other lots.
This complex consists of two buildings from basement level 5 to the 40th floor, comprising 174 apartments with exclusive areas of 77 to 112㎡ and 9 residential officetels with exclusive areas of 70㎡ and 84㎡.
Jeil Construction's 'Unjeong New Town Jeil Punggyeongchae Grand First,' being sold in Unjeong New Town, Paju, Gyeonggi-do, promotes a 'New Life Platform' where residents can take care of their health and leisure within the complex, providing sports facilities such as a swimming pool, multipurpose gymnasium, fitness center, golf practice range, and sauna facilities.
This complex will be built on block A5 of Unjeong New Town District 3, consisting of 24 buildings from basement level 2 to the 28th floor, with 1,926 units of 59㎡, 74㎡, and 84㎡ exclusive areas planned.
