On the 26th, Jo Hye-ryeon appeared on KBS CoolFM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show.' DJ Park Myung-soo first commented on Jo Hye-ryeon's new song 'Sarang-ui Punch' (Love's Punch), saying, "The song isn't bad when you listen to it. It sticks in your mind," but also added, "If you type Jo Hye-ryeon's name into the KBS computer, all her songs are banned."
In response, Jo Hye-ryeon explained, "Upon closer inspection, the lyrics were considered vulgar," and Park Myung-soo said, "The lyrics are vulgar and substandard," adding, "Our PD was worried. What if you bring another song like that this time?"
Jo Hye-ryeon joked, "No, this time all the songs passed the review."
When Park Myung-soo asked his usual fixed question on the 'Radio Show,' "How much do you earn in a month?" Jo Hye-ryeon replied, "I used to be on broadcasts like plays, musicals, and home shopping, but all of that disappeared because of COVID-19. The mood is good now because a trot album has been released."
She continued, "My monthly income is enough to pay for my daughter and son, who are now university students, and for myself attending graduate school, without borrowing money," adding, "Above all, my husband's income helps a lot."
Regarding the rumor that she earned 10 billion won, she said, "I want to clarify." Jo Hye-ryeon explained, "At that time, 450,000 copies of the diet dance album were sold. A guest who heard that said, 'That must be about 10 billion won,' and I couldn't properly respond. So misunderstandings accumulated."
Jo Hye-ryeon, who has one son and one daughter, divorced in 2012 and remarried a businessman husband in 2014.
