[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] SK Chairman Chey Tae-won visited the funeral hall of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee on the afternoon of the 26th and said, "I think he was the first and largest global company creator in South Korea," adding, "Losing such a person is a great loss to South Korea."
On the same day, Chairman Chey comforted the bereaved family at the funeral hall set up at Samsung Medical Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, saying, "Personally, I feel regretful and sorrowful."
Regarding his relationship with Chairman Lee Kun-hee, he recalled, "I received a lot of guidance while traveling abroad together."
He briefly responded about Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong's new Samsung, saying, "I believe he will do well."
