[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] As Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae are clashing over the truth of President Moon Jae-in's ㅠmessage, Kim Geun-sik, the People Power Party's Seoul Songpa-byeong district committee chairman, sarcastically said on the 26th, "To verify the facts, you must definitely accuse Prosecutor General Yoon of perjury."

Earlier, on the 22nd, at the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee's National Inspection of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, Prosecutor General Yoon stated, "The appointing authority, the President, told me to fulfill my duties during my term, and even when there were calls from the Democratic Party after the complicated events following the general election to resign, (the President) conveyed through an appropriate messenger not to be shaken and to fulfill my term and duties."

Regarding this, on the 26th, Open Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Jin-ae questioned Minister Chu during the comprehensive national inspection, asking, "You said the President told you to fulfill your term through some messenger; what do you think about that?"

Minister Chu responded, "As the party leader, I had many opportunities to contact President Moon before, so I am relatively familiar with his character, and he would never deliver messages through unofficial channels while skipping the formal reporting line," adding, "It was inappropriate for a high-ranking official to spread unconfirmed stories."

In response, on the same day, lawmaker Kim posted on her Facebook, saying, "If the Prosecutor General is cunning and sinister enough to use the President's message to keep his position, then lawmaker Kim Jin-ae should take the lead and accuse Prosecutor General Yoon of perjury under the testimony and evidence law," and added, "Since lawmaker Kim Jin-ae also assumes Yoon's statement is false, and Minister Chu is in collusion claiming the President's re-endorsement mention is false, they should file charges for false testimony."

She continued, "Minister Cho Yoon-sun was punished for perjury after taking an oath, so lawmaker Kim Jin-ae should cooperate with the Democratic Party and definitely accuse Prosecutor General Yoon of perjury," and said, "Only then can the factual truth of whether the President guaranteed Yoon's term be confirmed."

She further stated, "Ah, but for that, the Blue House should clarify the truth of the President's message, and I understand that right after Prosecutor General Yoon's remarks, the Blue House did not strongly deny but rather responded with NCND (neither confirm nor deny), effectively admitting it," and questioned, "Then, isn't it Kim Jin-ae and Minister Chu who are falsely insisting on their claims?"
