Yeongsangang Regional Office Operates 'On-site Land Purchase Civil Service Office'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office (Director Ryu Yeon-gi) announced on the 26th that it will operate a 'Visiting Land Purchase On-site Civil Service Office' in the land purchase target areas.

This on-site civil service office was promoted to publicize the land purchase project and provide convenience for local residents' mobility.

The land purchase project has been ongoing since 2003 to improve the water quality of water sources by purchasing land located in water source protection zones and waterfront zones upstream of five lakes including Juamho, and developing and managing them as waterfront green spaces.

Generally, land sale applications are accepted through phone consultations and submissions by visit or mail, but the on-site civil service office being operated this time is a direct visiting administrative service to alleviate inconveniences for residents in the target areas due to aging, mobility difficulties, lack of information, and difficulties in filling out sale application forms.

The Visiting Land Purchase On-site Civil Service Office will operate for three days starting today at Yuchi-myeon, Jangheung-gun (26th), Sapyeong-myeon (29th) and Dongbok-myeon (30th), Hwasun-gun, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Land purchase staff will open a counter on-site to provide one-on-one consultation and acceptance of land sale applications simultaneously.

Ryu Yeon-gi, Director of the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, said, "We hope this will be a good opportunity to form a consensus with local residents through demand-centered visiting customized services and to resolve questions about the land purchase project," and added, "We ask for active participation and interest from residents."
