Gwangju Bank Selected as the 62nd Branch of the 'Hope Blossoms Study Room' Program

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 26th that it held the 62nd selection ceremony for the ‘Hope Blossoms Study Room’ at the ‘Mindeulle Community Child Center’ located in Mangwol-dong, Buk-gu.

The ‘Mindeulle Community Child Center,’ selected as a ‘Hope Blossoms Study Room,’ is a child welfare facility that helps local children grow into healthy members of society. Twenty-eight children receive after-school care services and tutoring there.

Employees of the Gwangju Bank Community Love Volunteer Group replaced the old desks and chairs at the ‘Mindeulle Community Child Center,’ where children were having difficulty studying due to worn-out furniture. They also listened to the stories of children who struggled during this summer’s heat and gifted air conditioners and fans to create a comfortable learning environment in the study room.

They also shared snacks prepared at the newly renovated center with the children, encouraging them to nurture their dreams.

Lee Chun-woo, Vice President of Gwangju Bank, said, “We will continue to support the smooth operation of community child centers responsible for tutoring and care education for local children and actively support local children so they can healthily nurture their dreams. Additionally, we will take the lead in various social contribution activities to give back the love we have received from the local community.”
