[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Two people died after receiving flu vaccines in Gyeongbuk Province, prompting health authorities to conduct an epidemiological investigation.
According to Gyeongbuk Province, an man in his 80s from Gyeongsan and a woman in her 80s from Yecheon died due to adverse reactions following flu vaccinations the previous day.
It has not been determined whether they had any underlying medical conditions.
The deceased from Gyeongsan, Mr. A, received the vaccination on the 19th and visited the emergency room on the 23rd due to breathing difficulties and abdominal pain but passed away on the 24th.
The deceased from Yecheon, Ms. B, received the vaccination on the 19th and collapsed on the 25th with chest discomfort symptoms, was transported to the hospital emergency room, but died on the 25th.
Gyeongbuk Province and quarantine authorities have confirmed that among the six deaths reported so far, five had received the S company vaccine and are conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation.
