Samsung Securities Holds Event to Celebrate Launch of '3Bun Yeongeum Jeochuk' Trademark
With '3Bun Yeongeum Jeochuk', Account Opening, Transfers, and Product Purchases Can Be Done Online in One Stop

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Samsung Securities announced on the 26th that it will hold the "Pension is Investment (Pension Savings)" Event Season 2 for pension savings customers until December 31.

This event is held to commemorate the trademark application of "3-Minute Pension Savings" (excluding the time for agreeing to terms and personal information), which allows new customers without an account at Samsung Securities to open a pension savings account in just 3 minutes on mobile, as well as transfer pensions held at other companies and purchase products in a one-stop process.

Three events are being held simultaneously so that not only new customers without a Samsung Securities pension savings account but also existing customers can participate. The first event is only for new customers, while the second and third events are open to everyone.

To participate in the first event, which is only for new customers, one must open a pension savings account non-face-to-face and deposit 100,000 KRW. All participating customers will receive one coffee gifticon.

The second event offers gifts based on the amount deposited into Samsung Securities pension savings accounts or the amount of pension transferred from other companies to Samsung Securities. Deposits of 3 million KRW or more receive 3 coffee gifticons, 10 million KRW or more receive 30,000 KRW Shinsegae gift certificates, and 30 million KRW or more receive 50,000 KRW Shinsegae gift certificates.

The third event provides one coffee gifticon to customers who purchase recommended products worth 10 million KRW or more through Samsung Securities pension savings accounts.

Additionally, among customers who participate in all three events, one person will be selected by lottery to receive a Galaxy Z Fold2, and among those who participate in the second and third stages excluding the first, two people will be selected by lottery to receive Samsung Jet vacuum cleaners.

To receive event prizes, participants must apply for the "Pension is Investment (Pension Savings) Event" and agree to marketing on the Samsung Securities website or mobile app mPOP during the event period.

With the convenient system and the growing preference for stock investment, the number of newly opened pension savings accounts reached nearly 23,000 by the third quarter of this year, more than doubling compared to about 8,600 last year. Notably, about 20,000 of these accounts were opened online, showing a clear trend of non-face-to-face (untact) pension investment.

A Samsung Securities official said, "As the low-interest rate trend continues and concerns about income after retirement increase, coupled with the disappearance of tax-saving products, interest in pension investment seems to be rising." He added, "We hope customers enjoy the tax deduction benefits of pension accounts along with additional event benefits as the year-end approaches."
