WEMAKEPRICE O, 30x Growth in Transaction Volume in Just One and a Half Years Since Launch

Over 500,000 Monthly Users... Inquiries for New Store Openings Double After 0% Brokerage Fee Policy

WEMAKEPRICE O, 30x Growth in Transaction Volume in Just One and a Half Years Since Launch

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Wemakeprice's delivery service 'Wemakeprice O' is experiencing rapid growth ahead of its independent launch on the 1st of next month. Wemakeprice announced on the 26th that the transaction volume of Wemakeprice O has grown 30 times in about a year and a half since its service launch. The number of partner stores is also recording a double-digit monthly growth rate on average. As of October, the number of stores partnered with Wemakeprice O is about 45,000.

In particular, since the newly introduced '0% brokerage fee' policy (server usage fee of 8,800 KRW per week separately) started in September, new partnership inquiries received through the partnership and inquiry boards have doubled in one month. Wemakeprice O explained that as the number of partner stores increased significantly and menu options expanded, the number of users naturally increased as well. By offering promotions with franchises and rewards based on order amounts, the number of Wemakeprice O delivery customers increased 13 times compared to the first month of launch.

External indicators also highlight Wemakeprice O's growth. According to Nielsen Korean Click, the monthly active users (MAU) of Wemakeprice O in September exceeded 500,000, securing the 4th place in the delivery platform market. Based on this growth, Wemakeprice O is shedding its status as an internal venture of Wemakeprice and starting anew as an independent company. This decision was made because the rapid growth in a short period has increased its scale, requiring faster and more autonomous decision-making. As an independent corporation, it is also expected to find investment attraction easier than before.

Ha Jae-wook, the appointed CEO of Wemakeprice O, said, "All performance indicators such as transaction volume, number of users, and number of partner stores have been very positive during the one and a half years since the launch of Wemakeprice O," adding, "Starting next month as an independent corporation, we plan to strengthen our leadership in the delivery platform market through more aggressive activities."
