Theater Play 'Angri Harabeoji wa Na' Opens in December... Starring Lee Soon-jae, Shin Goo, Kwon Yuri, Park So-dam, and More

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The play "Grandpa Henri and Me," which humorously depicts the process of stubborn Grandpa Henri and the lively college student Constance becoming special to each other, is returning for its third run.

Actors who appeared in the first and second seasons, including Lee Soon-jae, Shin Goo, Kwon Yuri, Park So-dam, Chae Soo-bin, as well as Lee Do-yeop, Kim Dae-ryeong, Jo Dal-hwan, Kim Eun-hee, Yoo Dam-yeon, and Kang Ji-won, will participate extensively in this third season performance.

"Grandpa Henri and Me" is a work by French playwright Ivan Calb?rac. Since its French premiere in 2012, encore and touring performances have been popular. It won the Barri?re Foundation Play Award in 2015 and was also made into a film of the same name that year, attracting attention. In Korea, it premiered in 2017 and was revived last year.

The role of "Henri," who often causes problems with those around him due to his prickly personality but sincerely mentors and supports Constance's dreams, is played by Lee Soon-jae and Shin Goo. The two actors showcase different charms of Henri and performed together not only in the 2017 Korean premiere but also in last year's revival.

The role of "Constance," a college student wandering without knowing what she truly wants but finding her dream with Henri's help, is played by Kwon Yuri, Park So-dam, and Chae Soo-bin. Park So-dam appeared in the premiere, while Kwon Yuri and Chae Soo-bin performed in the revival.

The role of "Paul," Henri's son who struggles with a long-standing conflict with his father, is cast with actors Lee Do-yeop, Kim Dae-ryeong, and Jo Dal-hwan. The role of "Val?rie," Paul's wife, a typical French chatty lady with unique liveliness and charm, is shared by actresses Kim Eun-hee, Yoo Dam-yeon (Yoo Ji-soo), and Kang Ji-won.

"Grandpa Henri and Me" will open on December 3 at YES24 Stage 1 and run until February 14 of next year.
